NoteStudio

Data We Collect

NoteStudio is a local notes application. Your notes are stored exclusively on your device using IndexedDB (with localStorage as fallback) and are never transmitted to external servers.

• Note content (title, text, images) — stored locally on your device only
• App preferences (theme, language, font size) — stored locally
• We do not collect names, email addresses, or any personal identifiers
• We do not use analytics, tracking, or crash reporting services

Device Permissions

The app requests the following permissions:

• Camera — used only when you tap "+ Foto" to insert an image into a note. Photos are compressed and stored locally; never uploaded.
• Microphone — used only when you activate the voice input button to dictate text into a note. Audio is processed on-device by your browser's speech recognition; not recorded or stored.
• Internet — required for displaying AdMob ads and loading Google Fonts
• Storage — to save note data locally via IndexedDB

Camera and microphone are accessed only on explicit user action and never in the background.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version of the app contains ads provided by Google AdMob. Google may collect certain data according to its own privacy policy.

You can manage your advertising preferences in Android Settings → Google → Ads.

UK GDPR & Data Protection

NoteStudio complies with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

• We do not act as a data controller for your note content — it never leaves your device
• Google AdMob acts as an independent data controller for advertising data under its own terms
• You have the right to delete all app data at any time by clearing app storage in Android Settings
• No personal data is transferred outside the UK or EEA by NoteStudio itself

Data Security

Since all app data is stored locally on your device, its security depends on your device security. We recommend using a PIN or fingerprint lock screen.

We do not have access to your notes and cannot recover them if you uninstall the app or clear app data.

Children

NoteStudio is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided personal data, please contact us at the address below.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be communicated by updating the date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
